News broke over the weekend that former UFC champion Brock Lesnar would be returning to the circuit at UFC 200 in July, and now we know his opponent.
Mark Hunt, a puncher from New Zealand, is 12-10-1 over his career and was last seen scoring a first-round knockout of Frank Mir in March:
Lesnar, 38, hasn’t fought in the octagon since 2011, his UFC career cut short by diverticulitis, an intestinal disorder.
“It was the hardest decision for me to make,” Lesnar said Monday of his decision to drop mixed martial arts for professional wrestling. “That decision has haunted me for the last 15 months. I figured I couldn’t live like that for the rest of my life. I’m a big believer in living out your dreams and facing your fears.”
As for the other reasons behind his return:
“I’m a prize fighter. Titles don’t pay bills. I fight for money. I’m making money. They’re making money. Everybody’s making money. That’s what this is all about,” he told ESPN’s Hannah Storm.
Suffice to say, some people do not like Lesnar’s chances, considering his long absence from the octagon:

— Timothy Burke (@bubbaprog) June 6, 2016Absolutely love the fact that Lesnar wants to get back in there and compete again. He's not doing it for free but he's willing to get KO'd.
